Moments that move us forward
A glimpse into our outreach programmes, community engagement, and the people we serve.
Free Medical Outreach — Bakana Community, Rivers State
The day began on the water. Our team boarded boats across the creeks to Bakana Community, Rivers State, Nigeria, and journeyed on to Boma Mingi Suku, Will-Braide Central, under the theme Caring Beyond Boundaries: Bringing Health To Every Home. The turnout was overwhelming — grandmothers, mothers, fathers and children came out in numbers. We provided free medical consultations, vital-sign checks, laboratory testing, TB screening, medication dispensing, health education, and full eye care including examinations, prescribed eye drops and eyeglasses. But the numbers only tell half the story. What we will remember are the smiles, the testimonies, the elderly woman who could read again through a new pair of lenses, and the gratitude of people who had never had healthcare brought this close to home. From the first boat ride to the last handshake, it was a day of care, connection, teamwork and service.

Pad a Girl Child Initiative — Community Senior Secondary School, Akpajo
In Akpajo, Eleme LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria, hundreds of students stood shoulder to shoulder for a truth too many girls learn the hard way: menstrual health is a right, not a privilege. Our team led an open-air assembly, taught safe menstrual hygiene, answered the questions girls are rarely allowed to ask, and placed a pack of sanitary pads in every girl's hands — so that no girl in Akpajo misses a single day of school because of her period.

Pad a Girl Child Initiative — Community Girls Secondary School, Elelenwo
At Community Girls Secondary School, Elelenwo, Obio-Akpor LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria, the Fubara's Care Foundation team held a full Menstrual Health Matters session — an assembly with the students, a practical demonstration on safe pad use, an open question-and-answer session, and the distribution of sanitary pads to every girl in the school.

Pad a Girl Child Initiative — Oba-Ama High School, Bakana
At Oba-Ama High School, Bakana, Degema LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria, the Fubara's Care Foundation team held a full Menstrual Health Matters session — an open-air assembly, a practical demonstration on safe pad use, a question-and-answer session with the students, and the handover of sanitary pads to the school Principal for distribution to every girl.

Pad a Girl Child Initiative — Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Opobo Town
At Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Opobo Town, Opobo/Nkoro LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria, our Founder, Braide Faustina Fubara, joined the school's Principal and the FCF team to promote menstrual health, dignity, confidence, and empowerment for the girl child.
